	Activities Conferences Attended Publications/ Documents	Upgrading *Simulation Capability of the IYTE-Wireless Centre* The main objective of this workpackage is to improve and upgrade the existing software packages and computers to achieve a state-of-the-art simulation environment for researchers who are conducting theoretical and computational research in the key competency areas of the Centre. New equipment and software will be purchased, and the existing computational facilities will be upgraded. A set of high-end computers will be purchased and installed on the pre-planned locations. The software packages that will be purchased include:
		MATLAB and some of the toolboxes (concurrent licence). XFDTD (single licence). Wireless Insite (single licence).
		Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Hardware and Software Development Kits will be purchased as well (4-5 sets). The new software packages will be installed on specific computers. Training sessions will be organized to inform research staff who are not experienced with the new software. Deliverables will be 12-month and 24-month progress report describing yearly training and research activities performed in the simulation lab.
