Upgrading RF and Microwave Electronic Design Laboratory Infrastructure
The main objective of this workpackage is to improve and upgrade the experimental research and prototype designing capabilities of our existing Microwave Lab. Since microwave systems consist of circuitry and antennas, a seamless interaction between the microwave electronic design laboratory and the antenna research laboratory has to be guaranteed. 12 month progress report on the verification of antenna and RF-electronic labs alignment and seamless interaction capability, with respect of equipment for fabrication and measurement, and on the simulation, prototyping and testing capability of the lab exploring several design topics. Major milestone will be achieved by the 12th month, which is purchasing and installation of the new equipment, and organization of the lab, and arrangement and lab-to-lab alignment with respect to equipment for fabrication and measurement. At the end of the 12th month we are expecting to be able to design, simulate and fabricate communication circuits and microwave components (activities which will not be financially supported by this project).
