Upgrading Computer Networks Laboratory for Mobile Computing
The main objective of this workpackage is to improve and upgrade the existing computer hardware and software in the Network Laboratory of the Computer Engineering Department of IYTE to achieve a state-of-the-art experimenting environment for researchers who are conducting theoretical and experimental research in mobile computing and to perform research on mobile networks in this environment. This workpackage has a milestone of upgrading of the existing Computer Networks laboratory by purchasing of network computer equipment and related software such as instalment of simulators for mobile networks. This will enable researchers to perform protocol design and implementation research in mobile networks. Research on protocol design and implementation involves designing and implementing various middleware protocols in mobile networks such as Total Order Multicast, Routing, Clustering, Group Communication and Security (activities which will not be financially supported by this project) .
